In October last year, Park's side sued Lee for defamation. Lee was put on trial on charges of spreading false information such as that Park lived with a woman when she appeared on SBS 'My Ugly Baby' in a group chat room aimed at slandering Park Soo-hong.
Apart from the case, Lee and her husband Park Soo-hong's brother are suspected of embezzling about 6.2 billion won in entertainment fees while running two entertainment agencies from 2011 to 2021. In February, his brother Park was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzlement and other charges under the Specific Economic Crimes Weighted Punishment Act, and his brother-in-law Lee was acquitted and appealed.
Meanwhile, Lee will be sentenced at 10 a.m. on October 23.
