Choi Minho 'Thank you for continuing your acting...'

Choi Min-ho (SHINee Min-ho) emerged as a new romance powerhouse through Family X Melo.

On the 15th, the final episode of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 「Family X Melo" (directed by Kim Daye, scripted by Kim Young-yoon, produced by MI·SL) showed Nam Tae-pyeong (Choi Min-ho) going back to his favorite Taekwondo master's job and continued his romantic date with Byun Mi-rae (Son Na-eun) with the support of his family, giving excitement and laughter to the small screen until the end.

In this work, Choi Min-ho plays Nam Tae-pyeong, who hides his identity as the youngest son of chaebol J+ Mart and lives a busy life between Taekwondo teachers and mart security guards, drawing a lively and delicate narrative of the character, ranging from wandering of youth, worries about family, and sweet romance.

In particular, Choi Min-ho, who led the drama with straight fluttering and friendly charm, is very grateful for loving "Family X Melo" and "Taepyeong". It's been a long time since I greeted you with a drama, so I'm really happy that I've been loved a lot. I want to say thank you so much for meeting Taepyeong and receiving so many different emotions as a gift," he said of his affectionate thoughts.

In addition, for the part that he cared the most about playing 'Nam Taepyeong', he seems to have cared about revealing the ambivalence of the character, who is infinitely feisty to his family but tries to be kind to others besides his family. I wanted to show the process of developing and changing `Taepyeong' in the relationship with various characters, but I'm also very grateful to the director because he seems to have captured it well.'

When asked if there was a message that he wanted to leave to the viewers through the drama, I was very proud of 'Taepyeong' who tried to break down and heal his wounds. Everyone must have a past wound or trauma that they want to hide, but I wanted to give you a message that if you take courage and break it through our drama, there will be good results"I told him my honest story."

Meanwhile, Choi Min-ho, who expanded his acting spectrum through 'Family X Melo', once again challenged a new genre with the play 'Waiting for Godot' and will be on stage at Yes24 Stage 3 in Daehak-ro by December to meet the audience.

▶ Hereinafter, Choi Minho's full text of questions and answers

1. "Family X Melo" ended each episode attracting attention with various scenes. Can you tell us how you feel about the end?

It might be an obvious thing to say, but time really seems to fly. Scenes taken from the end of last fall to the end of winter and the approach of spring pass by. Thank you once again to the director, staff, seniors, and fellow actors who worked together. I want to say thank you so much for meeting Taepyeong and receiving various and many emotions as a gift in a peaceful world.

2. What did you prepare or what did you pay the most attention to when you played "Nam Taepyeong".

I wanted to express that Taepyeong is as white and pure as Taekwondo uniform. I was clumsy, but I kept moving forward, and I tried to act with the heart of Taepyeong, who did not know well, but worked hard.

In addition, it seems that the most care was taken to reveal the ambivalence of the character, who is infinitely feisty with his family but tries to be nicer to others besides his family. I wanted to show the process of developing and changing Taepyeong in the relationship with many people, but I am very grateful to the director because he seems to have captured it well.

3. The emotional scene in the 6th episode, when the hidden family history of Taepyeong was revealed, was impressive, how he prepared for this scene and how he tried to play the pain caused by Taepyeong's hidden family history.

First of all, I thought that Taepyeong needed a lot of courage because he was a god who revealed the feelings he had endured to everyone. So I thought first that let's capture the feeling of 'courage'. I also tried to convey to the viewers that Taepyeong was not seemingly so, but that the hurt she had received was deep. It seems that synergy was well displayed because Jung Woong-in received it well and helped him express his delicate emotions well.

4. The chemistry with the other actor was also impressive. I heard that he also tried to capture the romance process between Nam Taepyeong and Byun Mi-rae on the spot, but I wonder what kind of efforts he made.

I kept a little awkward at the beginning of the shoot. And as the drama unfolded, I tried to naturally capture the image of coming out as close as a relationship in the play. As we became more comfortable with each other, it seems that we were able to capture romance scenes and lines much more naturally.

5. Nam Taepyeong's growth was also a notable part of the play, and what if there was a message you wanted to convey through this?

Looking at the future of Taepyeong, I sympathize with you that there is another person who has the same heart as me. It makes me think, "I didn't do this, but I can do that." I was very proud of Taepyeong, who tried to solve what he had only avoided and tried to heal his wounds by bumping into each other. Through our drama, everyone must have a past wound or trauma that they want to hide, but I also tried to give a message that if you take courage and break it, there will be good results.

6. What's the most memorable line or scene? Or is there a scene that you worked hard to prepare?

The most memorable part of episode 7 is the calm confession of family history to the future. Taepyeong must have been the first time in her life to tell someone my story. I want to talk calmly, but I wanted to express that emotional line that I like suddenly popped out. "Are you asking because you don't know?I thought about how to make good use of the line ", and I remember that I organized the emotions well and monologized.

7. What is the last thing you want to say to the viewers?

'Family X Melo', and thank you so much for loving Taepyeong. It's been a long time since I said hello to you through a drama, so I'm very happy that I feel like I've received a lot of love.

Not long ago, the owner of a frequent shop said "The drama is so warm and fun. And it comes out really cool. I wish I could continue actingHe praised ", and I thought 'Oh, I really met a friend named Taepyeong and got a good compliment and couldn't be better' I was truly happy and I want to visit you often with works that can convey this happiness in the future. We will grow and develop further, so I would appreciate it if you could continue to support us and give us compliments.
