Han So-hee Addresses Mother's Illegal Gambling Operation

Actor Han So-hee has officially addressed the recent controversy involving her mother and illegal gambling activities. 

On September 3rd, 9ato Entertainment, the agency representing Han So-hee, released a statement to clarify her position on the matter.

The agency stated: "We would like to address the report from September 2nd concerning Han So-hee's mother. The matter reported was a personal issue involving Han So-hee's mother and does not involve Han So-hee herself. Han So-hee was deeply distressed to learn about this situation through the media and is unable to fully convey her feelings about it."

The agency firmly emphasized that this issue is entirely separate from Han So-hee's professional life, stating, "We want to make it clear that this is a personal matter related to Han So-hee's mother and does not concern the actress in any way."

Additionally, the agency expressed regret for the negative attention this situation has brought, saying, "We apologize for any discomfort caused by this personal matter, which is unrelated to Han So-hee's career."

According to TV Chosun's report on September 2nd, Han So-hee's mother, identified only by her surname Shin, was arrested on charges of operating multiple illegal gambling centers. Shin allegedly ran 12 gambling establishments in Ulsan and Wonju from 2021 until the end of August. Shin's operations reportedly involved customers playing baccarat-like games after depositing money into the gambling site. This is not Shin's first offense; she has previously faced fines for similar charges.

Previously, Han So-hee has distanced herself from her mother due to the controversies and has isolated herself from her family in response to these issues.
