HyunA Issues Legal Warning Over Rumors and Attacks

Singer HyunA has issued a second legal warning due to ongoing rumors and personal attacks since the announcement of her romantic relationship with her prospective bride, Yong Jun-hyung.

On September 4th, HyunA's agency, At Area, stated, "We have prepared a complaint against those attacking our artist HyunA with constant personal attacks, false information, and malicious distortion. We have shown leniency at the artist's request. However, since the announcement of the wedding, the defamation has reached a level where we can no longer remain passive," indicating a tougher stance.

The agency highlighted that the spread of rumors, especially after the release of the wedding pictorial, has become particularly severe. They emphasized that they will take strict legal action against malicious rumors moving forward, without any prior warnings or leniency.

Earlier in January, HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung publicly acknowledged their relationship by posting an affectionate photo together. Both have connections to Cube Entertainment, with HyunA being a former member of the girl group 4Minute and Yong Jun-hyung a member of Beast. In 2010, Yong Jun-hyung featured on HyunA's solo song "Change."

Yong Jun-hyung later addressed the relationship in a fan community, stating, "We are doing well and receiving positive energy from each other, so I hope you continue to support us." Recently, it was reported that they were seen traveling together in Bangkok without disguising their identities.

Despite this, criticism against HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung persisted after the relationship announcement. In April, At Area identified numerous malicious posts, including sexually harassing content, false information, and slander. The agency vowed to respond strongly to such attacks.

Nine months after their relationship became public, HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung are set to marry. According to an exclusive report, the couple will tie the knot on October 11 at Samcheonggak in Seoul. They completed their wedding hall contract last spring, and preparations are now in full swing.
