Independent movie industry's new star..Hyun Woo-seok, rising star with '5 minutes of you and me'
Newcomer Hyun Woo-seok appeared as a star in the independent film industry.

Hyun Woo-seok emerged as a star in the independent film industry as he was well received by the audience in the film 'You and Me 5 Minutes', which was presented at the 20th Jecheon International Music Film Festival (JIMFF), which opened on the 5th.

The movie starring Hyun Woo-seok '5 Minute of You and Me' is a story in which Kyung-hwan (played by Shim Hyun-seo), who transferred to Daegu, learns that Jaemin (Hyun Woo-seok), the class president, also listens to Japanese music, and the two friends quickly get acquainted with each other after learning about each other's secrets.

Hyun Woo-seok plays the role of Jae-min, a class president who likes to listen to J-POP in the corner of the classroom, and became close friends with Kyung-hwan, who transferred to the school through music, but he is a person who gives tension to the play by treating Kyung-hwan, who revealed the secret to him one day.

Through the movie that utilizes the memory function of music, Hyun Woo-seok answered the audience's in-depth questions skillfully during a QA session with the audience after the screening, saying, "It seems that I am still not used to watching movies starring me on a big screen. I was curious and nervous about how the audience would watch our movie, but I'm very proud that they enjoyed it. Movies and music, which have the power to connect people, seem to be similar. I think this is the story our movie is trying to tell. As much as we worked hard to film it, I hope our story is conveyed well to the audience" He drew attention by revealing his thoughts.

So far, Hyun Woo-seok has been growing by filling in his own filmography, including movies 'Child for Children' and 'Dolphin' and dramas 'If You Like It', 'Health Teacher Ahn Eun-young', 'Live On' and 'Cheer Up'.

In particular, Hyun Woo-seok emerged as a rising star in the independent film industry in May, winning three JIFF awards, including the Grand Prize in Korean Competition, Watcha Award, and the Actor Award (Choi Sung-eun) through the film 'Time to Cheer Up' at the 25th Jeonju International Film Festival.

The 20th Jecheon International Music Film Festival, attended by Hyun Woo-seok, who has become a new icon of the independent film industry by exploring various film festivals with only his work, will be held in Jecheon until the 10th.
