Lee Jong Suk Publicly Supports IU at Concert, Silencing Breakup Rumors

Actor Lee Jong Suk made a public appearance at IU's concert, showing his support for his girlfriend.

IU held her "2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING" at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 21st and 22nd of this month, wrapping up her six-month world tour with a grand finale.

During the event, Lee Jong Suk, who has been in an open relationship with IU since late 2022, was spotted enjoying her performance. Despite wearing a hat and mask to cover his face, his tall figure and celebrity aura made him stand out among the crowd. Fans in several online communities noticed his presence, and some even pointed out the involvement of his former stylist, further confirming his attendance.

Speculations about a potential breakup between the couple had been circulating due to the discreet nature of their relationship. However, Lee Jong Suk's public appearance at IU's concert seemed to put those rumors to rest, with the couple subtly reaffirming their relationship.

This isn’t the first time Lee Jong Suk has attended one of IU's concerts. Earlier in March, he was seen at her solo concert, '2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert in Seoul,' at the KSPO Dome, where he was also spotted holding IU's light stick and cheering for her.

Lee Jong Suk and IU have been friends for over a decade, having worked together as hosts of SBS's 'Inkigayo' 10 years ago. Their relationship evolved into a romantic one, which they publicly confirmed in late 2022.

Reflecting on their relationship, Lee Jong Suk previously shared, "We've been friends for a long time, but now our relationship has grown into something more. I've always thought of her as someone special, even when we were just friends." He has often expressed admiration for IU, mentioning how her music brings comfort to many, himself included. "Her presence has been a source of strength for me," he said. "As she matures, I also find myself wanting to grow and become a better person."
