The JIMFF Award for Best Picture stars Hyun Woo-seok in the independent movie Saetbyeol'You and Me'5 Minutes'

Newcomer Hyun Woo-seok has become a star in the independent film industry.

Hyun Woo-seok emerged as a rising star in the Korean film industry at the 20th Jecheon International Music Film Festival (JIMFF), which closed on the 10th, receiving the Korean Competition Feature Film Award for the film 'You and Me's 5 Minutes'.

The movie `You and I Five Minutes' starring Hyun Woo-seok is about Kyung-hwan (Shim Hyun-seo), who transferred to Daegu, who is sitting next to him, and Jaemin (Hyun Woo-seok), who is the class president, also became friends after learning that he listens to Japanese music, but after learning about each other's secrets, they get into conflict.

Hyun Woo-seok not only resonated with the audience with his realistic acting as the class president, Jaemin, who lived with a secret that was hard to tell to anyone, but also caught the eye by expressing the story of friendship and growth with friends.

In response, Hyun Woo-seok "Just as our movie "You and I" returned the main characters to their school days, I also felt like I went back to the shooting day when good staff and actors were together while watching this movie." I am even more happy and grateful that our film, which was filmed so happily, received the grand prize of the Korean Competition Feature Film Award at the 『Jecheon International Music Film Festival』. I thought it was a good thing just to be submitted to the festival and screened, but I am proud that it has led to good results. I will continue to work hard to greet the audience with better acting and movies by being my driving force, so please give me a lot of attention and look forward to it," he said, expressing his good feelings.

Hyun Woo-seok, who has established himself as a star in the independent film industry by winning the Korean Competition Feature Film Award at the 20th Jecheon International Music Film Festival, won three JIFF awards in the Korean Competition category, Watcha Award, and Actor Award (Choi Sung-eun) with the film 'Time to Cheer Up' at the 25th Jeonju International Film Festival, making us expect Chungmuro's growth as well as independent films.
