Kim So-dam, the older sister of the late SHINee member Jonghyun, appeared in front of the camera for the first time.

On the 7th, a video was released on the SNS of the foundation 'Shiny' with the message, "The late Jonghyun's story that I wanted to tell but couldn't." Shiny is a foundation established by Jonghyun's family in 2018 to support young artists through his copyright fees.

In the video, Kim introduced herself, saying, "Hello, I am Kim So-dam, the secretary-general of Shiny and Jonghyun's older sister." She added, "This is the first time I am officially greeting you in front of the camera. I think I've been hiding all this time, but now I'm trying to find a way to communicate, so I'm starting."

She continued, "I believe there are stories you wanted to tell but couldn't, and things you've been struggling with. I think there must be a way to overcome these challenges together, rather than facing them alone."

Kim concluded, "I hope we don’t remain stuck in that time and instead find a way to overcome it together," announcing that Shiny would conduct a psychological counseling project for young artists.

Jonghyun was found dead at his residence in Seoul on December 18, 2017, at the age of 27. He reportedly suffered from depression during his lifetime.
