A taxi driver who caused the death of a passenger while speeding in the process of changing lanes was handed over to the prosecution without detention. The passengers were the late producer Lee Ju-hyung (35), who participated in directing popular entertainment shows such as `Three Meals a Day Gochang Edition' and `New Journey to the West.'

According to the Chosun Ilbo on the 24th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office said on the same day that a taxi driver A was sent without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on Handling of Traffic Accidents (death).

At around 12:28 p.m. on the 22nd of last month, A changed the lane to the right driving lane (3 lanes) rather than the left passing lane to pass the car in front of Sangam World Cup Park Complex 3 near Nanjicheon Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul. About five seconds later, the taxi hit the rear of the left side of the tourist bus parked in front of it and collided with a light vehicle that was driving. It was found that A was speeding in the process and was not drunk.

It is known that Mr. A did not make any special attempts to slow down until he hit the tour bus. Lee, who was in the back seat of the passenger seat, seriously injured his head and died immediately at the scene, while driver A suffered a minor injury. Lee's bereaved family said at the time that Lee was working overtime to finish the video work to be delivered to Netflix by Friday, and was on his way home from work. Lee was said to have given birth to his first child in December.
