Hive held an extraordinary shareholders' meeting at the auditorium of the Listed Companies Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 12th and officially appointed Lee Jae-sang, an inside director, as the new CEO.
On this day, CEO Lee said, `It will take time, but we will respond calmly as per principle' to the Newzins members shooting Hive, officially demanding the return of Min Hee-jin, former CEO of A-Door, through an emergency live broadcast the previous day.
CEO Lee said, `Hive is a company that follows principles and pursues quality management. There is no change in this tone. Looking back now, those who obeyed the principles have become the final winner."
Newzins turned on the live broadcast without the door on the 11th and said to return former CEO Min Hee-jin by the 25th and return him to the door before the conflict between Hive and former CEO Min began. In particular, Newzins revealed that Kim Joo-young, CEO of New Adore, was unreliable because he ignored because there was no evidence despite being ostracized in the Hive company.
However, former CEO Min was dismissed through the board of directors. Former representative Min protested, but Odor said it was a procedural decision, and it is almost impossible to reverse the board's decision. As such, it is interpreted that the new Hive CEO Lee Jae-sang's policy of "Response to Principles" virtually rejected Newzins' request.
After graduating from Yonsei University, Lee joined Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of Hive, in 2018, after working with global management consulting firm Monitor Group, Hyundai Motor Company, and Google. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in Hive's overall business strategy and investment, serving as Chief Innovation Growth Officer (CIGO), Hive CSO, Hive America COO, and Hive America CEO.
