BTS' J-Hope Invests 22 Billion Won in Luxury Real Estate

BTS' J-Hope is making significant strides in real estate investment.

According to Biz Korea on the 3rd, J-Hope purchased a luxury penthouse apartment in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsan, Seoul, for 12 billion won in June. He paid the full amount in cash and completed the transfer of ownership without taking out a loan. The penthouse, which has only three units, includes J-Hope's unit of 273.9㎡ (82 pyeong), comprising a 105.08㎡ unit and a 168.7㎡ unit.

Additionally, on July 26, J-Hope acquired another property, paying the full amount for a 232.86㎡ (70 pyeong) unit that was part of the same development purchased in June 2020. The purchase price for this unit was about 10 billion won. In just one month, J-Hope invested a total of 22 billion won in cash for these properties.

J-Hope also owns two other properties in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, both purchased without a loan. In 2016, he bought a 84.81㎡ (about 25 pyeong) unit for 1.3 billion won, and in October 2018, he acquired a 152.15㎡ (about 46 pyeong) unit for 3.7 billion won. Based on these transactions, his total real estate assets are estimated to be worth around 27 billion won.
