Big Bang was born again at the Taeyang's solo concert 'The Light Year' held at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, on August 31 and 1. The first stage of G-Dragon Taeyang Daesung's trio Big Bang was unveiled.

The joint stage with Daesung was planned from the beginning. Taeyang first participated in Daesung's fan meeting in March, and Daesung decided to stage together at the concert. G-Dragon's joining was made on the spot at Taeyang's suggestion. Taeyang invited G-Dragon to the concert and suggested 'Let's do the stage together if you have any thoughts', and G-Dragon, who had been contemplating several times, eventually decided to perform on the stage on the day of the performance.
Taeyang said at the concert, "I told him to come up to the stage in the waiting room."
