A famous rapper is likely to be sentenced to life in custody on charges of drugs, sexual assault, and human trafficking
American hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs has been arrested on charges of sexual assault.

The U.S. Associated Press and the BBC reported that Combs was recently arrested at a hotel in Manhattan, New York, and is being detained by the Department of Homeland Security's investigation bureau.

According to the indictment released by the prosecution, Combs faces charges of racketeering, forced fraud or prostitution by coercion.

Combs is accused of creating a criminal organization that has been involved in or attempted to commit crimes such as prostitution, forced labor, drugs, kidnapping, arson, and bribery, and intimidating or coaxing victims into commercial sexual activity. He also manipulated women into sexual activity with men by engaging in verbal, emotional, and physical sexual abuse. Combs wielded firearms several times, threatening witnesses and victims, and used his powerful influence as a drug and rapper to control victims.

However, Combs denies all the allegations. Combs' lawyer, Mark Agnifilo "Disappointed by the unfair prosecution. Combs is an innocent man and expects his reputation to be restored in court."

In addition, he requested $50 million (66.6 billion won) in bail, but prosecutors countered that Combs owns $1 billion (1.332 trillion won) worth of assets and private jets, and the criminal charges are also serious, raising concerns of flight. Eventually, the court ordered Combs to be detained without bail.

Combs could face up to life in prison if convicted.

Combs is an American famous rapper known by the names Diddy and Puff Daddy.
