The tax accountant said on the same day that Park knew that she had transferred her shares in the entertainment agencies Lael and Media Boom to her children. The prosecution said the allegation could be a second offense against Kim Daye, adding, `If you look at the details, the amount of the acquisition worth 32.5 million won is not unusual. I wonder why they keep applying. If necessary, he requested the dismissal, saying, "The data that will come out of the civil suit…" In response, the court said "We will carefully review it and decide whether to adopt it or not."
Earlier, Park Soo-hong's brother and his wife were accused of embezzling about 6.2 billion won, including Park's appearance fees, while running two entertainment agencies, Lael and Media Boom, for 10 years from 2011 to 2021.
In the first trial held in February, the court said Park embezzled about 700 million won and 1.3 billion won from two entertainment agencies, respectively. However, it was judged to be innocent of charges that Park Soo-hong's personal funds were stolen and used. The court found the case to be a case of abuse of the corporate system for tax evasion and acquitted Park of two years in prison, judging that evidence was insufficient to recognize his wife, Lee, as an accomplice.
