STAYC to Pursue Legal Action Against Deepfake Videos

The group STAYC has warned of legal action against the production of deepfake videos.

On the 6th, STAYC's agency High-Up Entertainment announced, "We will take strict legal action against those involved in creating deepfakes targeting our artists: STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J)."

Recently, there have been numerous cases where deepfake technology has been used to create pornographic content with women's faces or bodies. In response, High-Up Entertainment plans to strongly counteract the production and distribution of such malicious deepfake videos.

The agency also emphasized its commitment to protecting the personality and rights of its artists and addressing all illegal actions that harm their reputations.

To this end, High-Up Entertainment will remain vigilant and continue to monitor and address indiscriminate illegal activities.

Meanwhile, STAYC is set to make a comeback in October.
