A man in his 30s who commented on the death threat in an article related to Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University was caught by the police.

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's cyber investigation team announced on the 3rd that it had booked a Korean man in his 30s without detention on charges of intimidation. Mr. A is accused of leaving a threatening comment suggesting murder along with a slander against the professor in an article related to Dokdo posted on a portal site on the 20th of last month.

The article said that a social networking service (SNS) account impersonating Professor Seo is promoting Takeshima (the name of Dokdo claimed by Japan) and the Rising Sun Flag.

He wrote in this article, "I'm going to kill you todayThe investigation began with a comment saying " and a netizen report who saw it.

A admitted to his crime in the police and was investigated to have no particular grudge relationship with Professor Seo. A's specific motive for the crime is unknown.

The police arrested A on the 26th of last month after identifying the suspect based on Internet Protocol (IP) tracking.
