The Black and White Chef is a Netflix original entertainment program that depicts a cooking battle between 20 famous chefs 'Baeksujeo' and Jaya's master 'Baeksujeo'Baeksujeo'80. Within the first week of its release, "Black and White Cook" had been a huge hit, ranking No. 1 in the Netflix Global Top 10 non-English TV category.
I asked if I expected such popularity. Ahn Sung-jae said, `This boom was not anticipated or intended from the beginning. When I looked around at me and the chefs around me and the business, I felt I needed some new kind of life."
He also said that as one of the people who takes food very seriously, it would be nice for chefs to show their pride in their work and persistence, not to make them laugh. Through such a raw appearance, I hoped that a wonderful program would be made that could help the actual restaurant industry. Thankfully, the production team fully understood and accepted my opinion," he said, expressing his gratitude.
In 'Black and White Cooks', Ahn Sung-jae asked the chefs about their intentions to enter the food. I asked Ahn Sung-jae why. "Everyone would have come out with a lethal weapon, but it must be delicious, and I asked for an intention to have more discrimination than this," he said.

I also asked if he had seen the memes edited by Chef Ahn in Black and White Chef. Chef Ahn said "Even if I didn't want to see it, I saw it because people around me sent it so much. What do you want to talk about?," he said, casting doubt on his face.
When the editor answered 'A meme of chef Ahn Sung-jae excited to drop chef Choi Hyun-seok?', Ahn Sung-jae replied "That's the most unfair. I really didn't do it with that thought. It was my own affectionate expression that it has a lot of different flavors. And wasn't there a picture of Chef Choi Hyun-suk smiling while looking behind his back. That was really the idea that the chef was really passionate in my heart, great and cool. But he continued it like that."
