As of the morning of the 22nd, 'APT.' ranked No. 1 globally and in the U.S. on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs chart. This makes Rosé the first Korean female solo artist to top the chart both as a solo act and as a member of a K-pop girl group.

'APT.' also entered the Apple Music U.S. main chart at No. 82, a record for a female K-pop soloist. It broke into the top 10 on the pop genre chart and ranked 41st on Apple Music UK, setting a new best for a K-pop soloist.

The song's popularity is even higher on social media. The 'APT.' challenge, inspired by scenes from the music video, has gone viral, with many recreating the iconic moments. Foreign fans have also been spotted singing along, with one viral video showing Germans chanting the song in a club, and another where fans at Bruno Mars' Brazilian concert shouted 'APT.' during his performance of 'Marry You.'

'APT.' is a pre-release track from Rosé’s upcoming solo studio album 'rosie,' set to drop on December 6. The song draws inspiration from the 'apartment game,' a popular drinking game among younger generations, capturing the intriguing dynamics between a man and a woman. Bruno Mars' participation in the track adds to the global attention.

The song also includes an interpolation of 'Hey Mickey,' crafted by composers Michael Chapman and Nicholas Chin.

Rosé previously made history by entering Billboard's Hot 100 in 2021 with her solo track 'On the Ground,' marking the highest-charting K-pop female solo song. With the overwhelming response to 'APT.,' especially on platforms like Spotify, all eyes are on whether she can surpass her own record and make even greater history.
