Lisa Responds to Lip-Sync Controversy with 'Moonlit Floor' Live Performance

Lisa of the group BLACKPINK has overcome the recent controversy surrounding accusations of lip-syncing.

On the 9th, Lisa released a live performance video of her new single 'Moonlit Floor' on her agency’s official YouTube channel. In the video, she showcased her dreamy vocals using a stand microphone. Her emotional expressions, as if in love, also captivated viewers.

Lisa had headlined the 'Global Citizen Festival,' a large-scale charity event in Central Park, New York, on the 29th of last month, performing hits like 'Lalisa', 'Money' and her new song 'Rockstar', 'New Woman', 'Moonlit Floor' in her first solo festival appearance since debuting. However, after the performance, some netizens accused her of lip-syncing, pointing out that her mouth movements didn’t align with the lyrics.

In what seemed to be a response to the controversy, Lisa released the live performance video to highlight her vocal abilities.

Lisa's new song, 'Moonlit Floor,' samples Sixpence None the Richer's 'Kiss Me' and reinterprets it with her unique style. The track topped the U.S. Spotify Global Daily Chart upon its release. Notably, the lyrics include the line 'A green-eyed French boy captivated me,' leading some to speculate that she may be subtly acknowledging her rumored relationship with Frédéric Arnault, son of Bernard Arnault, chairman of the LVMH group, with whom she has been linked since last year.

Lisa is also starring in season three of the American HBO series 'The White Lotus,' currently filming in Thailand. Additionally, she will be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on the 15th in New York, marking the event’s return after six years.
