Commenting on the leaked transcript that surfaced, Lee described it as "shocking in many ways." She explained, “It’s legal to hire hospitality workers in entertainment establishments, but for it to qualify as prostitution, there must be sexual intercourse, which often happens outside the establishment, such as in private accommodations after bar outings." Lee noted, "The amounts transferred via Telegram were substantial, far more than 100,000 or 200,000 won, and involved technical terms. The TC charge is more than 2 million won per hour for these workers to serve drinks. This raises questions about whether the payment was purely for entertainment services. However, proving it constituted prostitution solely based on recordings is challenging."
She added, "It seems that Choi Min-hwan is quite familiar with the practices and language associated with this entertainment culture. If someone lacks experience in this area, it would be hard to speak naturally about reservations and interactions." Lee also explained that if the allegations of repeat offenses are confirmed, even as a first-time offender, Choi may face significant penalties or prosecution without suspension.
Furthermore, Lee emphasized that if a divorce lawsuit arises, the allegations could weigh heavily against him regarding the couple's duty of reconciliation. She also noted that certain behaviors, even between married couples, could potentially lead to charges of marital assault or harassment.

Following the revelations, Choi Min-hwan stepped down from KBS 2TV’s 'The Return of Superman,' where he appeared with his three children, and suspended his activities. FTIsland will now operate as a two-member group, with Choi’s drum position filled by a session musician.
