The arrest period for singer Kim Ho-joong, who was arrested and charged with drunk hit-and-run, has been extended again.

Judge Choi Min-hye of the Seoul Central District Court on the 11th extended the arrest period for Kim Ho-joong, who was handed over to trial on charges of violating the law on the aggravated punishment of certain crimes (flee injury due to dangerous driving), failing to take action after an accident under the Road Traffic Act, and a criminal evacuation teacher. The arrest period for Lee Kwang-deuk, CEO of the agency that is suspected of helping Kim Ho-joong to commit the crime, and the former head of the division, identified only by his last name, have also been extended.

Kim Ho-joong was arrested and charged on June 18. The court extended the arrest period once on Aug. 12, and Kim Ho-joong sought bail on Aug. 21. "Kim Ho-joong was holding out by receiving a drug prescription because he had a birth defect in his ankle, but the drug was classified as a drug and could not be brought into the detention center, so he could not even take it." he appealed. However, the court effectively rejected the bail request.

As a result, Kim Ho-joong is more likely to be imprisoned until the scheduled sentencing date on November 13.

Kim Ho-joong is accused of violating the central line while drinking and driving in Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 9, hitting a taxi on the other side of the road, running away, and urging the manager of his agency, Jang, to give false information. However, since Kim Ho-joong turned himself in to the police 17 hours after the incident and was investigated, the Withmark formula made it impossible to specify the exact drinking level, so the drunk driving charge was not applied.

Kim Ho-joong admitted all charges at the second trial held in August, and the affected taxi driver also filed a petition with the court asking for Kim Ho-joong's leniency. However, the prosecution demanded a three-and-a-half-year prison term, saying it `systematically obstructed justice.'
