Will Taeil, who was kicked out of the group NCT for sex crimes, be sentenced to prison.

On the 12th of last month, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office allocated Taeil's alleged special quasi-rape case to the first division of the investigation into crimes against women and children (chief prosecutor Kim Ji-hye). The Women's and Children's Crime Investigation Department was in charge of the case of Cho Joo-bin in Room N, the group sexual assault of Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon from FT Island, and the distribution of illegal filming.

Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon were sentenced to prison in 2016 for sexually assaulting women in groups after getting them drunk in Hongcheon and Daegu, Gangwon Province, and distributing illegal filming to group chat rooms including former Big Bang member Seungri.

As Taeil was also booked for a special quasi-rape similar to them, attention is being paid to whether he will be sentenced to prison. The special quasi-rape crime applies when two or more people possess a weapon or sexually assault an opponent who is unable to resist due to mental and physical weakness. If the charges are admitted, they will be sentenced to seven years or more in prison or life imprisonment pursuant to Article 4, Paragraph 1 of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.

In this regard, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) said "It is difficult to say because it is an issue under investigation.", he responded cautiously. However, the industry's majority opinion is that SM also actually gave up Taeil. SM had already confirmed in August that Taeil had recently been accused in a criminal case related to sex crimes. In this regard, while grasping the facts, he recognized that the issue was very serious, so he decided that he could no longer continue his team activities, and discussed with Taeil and decided to withdraw from the team" he said. Since then, not only SM but also other NCT members have unfollowed Taeil's account and expressed their intention to 's hand-wringing'.

In the meantime, even though Taeil was already booked for sexually assaulting a drunken woman with two acquaintances, he was found to have communicated brightly with fans by broadcasting live the day after the complaint, sparking even more criticism.

Also drawing attention is a sacred letter on August 28th, when SM announced that Taeil was accused of sex crimes, saying, `It is highly likely that the case involved three men and members of the NCT, which is not related to Telegram or Deep Fake.'
