The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral hall of Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and the burial site will be decided as Yongin Honorstone. The mortuary of the deceased is located in Room 6 of the funeral home.
Kim Soo-mi passed away on the morning of the 25th at the age of 75. He was taken to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital in an ambulance with cardiac arrest, but he died. According to the bereaved family, the cause of death was found to be cardiac arrest due to hyperglycemic shock.
Chung Myung-ho, director of Morning Flower F&B, said in an official statement that `Kim Soo-mi, a mother and beloved actor by the people, died of hyperglycemia shock at 7:30 a.m. today.'
Actor Kim Soo-mi then lived with laughter and tears as everyone's mother, from the drama Jeon Won Ilgi's Daily Tusks to the play's mother. I am deeply grateful to everyone who loved him, and I will live by repaying my family for their support," he said, leaving a thank-you note.
Kim Soo-mi, born in 1949, has been active in various works since her debut as MBC's third-term open talent in 1970. In particular, he has established himself as a national actor by receiving great love for his role of 'daily tusks' in MBC's rural diary.
He has been active until recently, and has been on stage as Bong-ran, the main character of his musical mother, and has been communicating with viewers by appearing in the Donkey Ears with the chairman of tvN STORY and the KBS 2TV president's ears.
Amid the mourning of Kim Soo-mi's family and fans, the deceased falls into eternal rest.
