Edward Lee said, Black and white cook' No manipulation, Koreans are so honest'

Chef Edward Lee, the runner-up of the black-and-white chef, revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the program on a local broadcast in the United States.

Edward Lee recently appeared on the podcast `The Dave Chang Show' to reveal the behind-the-scenes stories of Netflix's entertainment program `Black-and-White Cook: The War of the Cooking Class' (hereinafter `Black-and-White Cook').

Edward Lee declined when he was first invited. I thought young chefs were on the show, and I didn't think I was on it"But at some point, I came to participate because I wanted to make a journey to find the identity of whether I was American or Korean." I also wanted to get to know the chefs in Korea because I was not a cook in Korea", he explained.

What I felt when I first went to the scene was the size of the recording studio on an overwhelming scale. Edward Lee "The set was really big. I heard 100 chefs are coming together, so will it be like this?I thought ', but I've never seen a scale like this even though I've participated in various cooking programsThere was no fabrication. Koreans are very honest."

For example, Edward Lee had to put a sticker on the camera lens because he couldn't bring a cell phone into the set because of security, but he jokingly told the chef next to him, "Let's take a picture without the sticker," and he said, "No." It is said that he heard the answer, "Brother". In response, he added "People are really nice."

Edward Lee, who also left the quote 'Mulkogi', said "My Korean level is about the third grade of elementary school" and "In fact, Korean was more difficult than cooking."

Edward Lee said "The filming was so hard"It was very difficult physically because we didn't film all at once, but we also traveled to and from the United States in the middle, flew for 20 hours, and traveled for a few hours in a car as soon as we arrived in Korea."

Since I lived in a hotel in Korea, I could not practice food like chefs who had their own businesses and homes, and I bought a portable cookware and practiced it for simple simulation"Since I challenged myself with the mindset that I would never do the cooking menu that I had done so far, I thought that the more the competition progressed, the better it could be."."

In the last episode on the 8th, Edward Lee reached the final match against Naples Matpia, and after a close race, the winner went to Naples Matpia.

In response, Naples Matpia posted a lengthy apology to Chef Edward Lee in his speech immediately after winning the championship. He was even more bluffing not to be daunted or intimidated. "Seeing myself through the broadcast, I saw a lot of cheeky and lacking sides, and it was an opportunity to reflect on myself. "I would like to express my gratitude and apology to Chef Edward. Almost all of my stories about Chef Edward have been edited on the show, but I was interviewed that I was amazed by his crazy tofu competition, creativity, and challenging spirit," he bowed his head.

In response, Edward Lee wrote `Chef' in the Naples Matpia article. You deserved to win. Don't lose your confidence" "This program was a competition and we all competed to win. You don’t need to apologize. Congratulations," he wrote in a comment, giving a warm air.

Meanwhile, Edward Lee is the winner of the Chef of the American Cuisine Survival '2010 Iron'. He made his name as a guest chef for the 2023 State Dinner at the White House. Edward Lee and Naples Matpia will appear on tvN 'Uquiz on the Block', which will air on the 16th.
