It is a festival created by Professor Baek Nam-young of Chung-Ang University, who directed a number of plays based on various masks and movements, and choreographer Park Ho-min, who has always created original works at the boundaries of theater and dance, and led the Tants Theater in Korea.
The first 'Physical Performance Festival' will be held at Daehak-ro 'Space Out' for a total of 14 days from October 14 (Mon) to 27 (Sun). Paik Nam-young, chairman of the festival's executive committee, said about the festival, `As the only physical performance art festival in Korea, we aim to expand the expression of actors in performing arts through various works based on 'body movement'.' He also said "Through workshops of each participating theater company, we intend to give not only theater members but also workshop participants an opportunity to experience another way to operate the body."
Thomas Stich, executive chairman of the Full-Spin International Festival in Germany, and Elisabeth Hofmann, executive director, will also be invited to the festival. Organizers will hold seminars and workshops on 'body theater' with them.

As a planned performance, Baek Nam-young's "Once Upon a Time, Very Long Time" will be performed. "Kim Hyun-gamho", which depicts the tragic love between a tiger woman and Kim Hyun, a traditional Korean narrative, was saved in the form of 'Carpet Theater'. It leads the play only with the power of an actor on an empty stage, and various expression methods such as acrobatic and body percussion are added to provide more attractions. This work was invited to the 7th German International Physical Theater Festival and received a standing ovation. From October 19 to 26, the performance is at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. on weekends, and there are no performances on Mondays. Finally, choreographer Park Ho-bin's "Bunker" will be on stage as the closing performance on October 27. Watching countless civilians killed in the war, I imagine the appearance of humans in the bunker, which is a safe zone.
The festival is sponsored by the Korea Theater Association and the Seoul Theater Association, and will be co-hosted by the performance agency Art River.
