According to the legal community on the 25th, senior judge Jeong Jae-wook of the Suwon District Court sentenced Yun Byung-ho, who was accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act, to take two years of probation and 40 hours of lectures to prevent drug crimes in August.
Yun Byung-ho was accused of taking psychotropic drugs containing diazepam, lorazepam, and zolpidem in an unknown way at the Incheon Detention Center on August 17-26, 2022. At that time, Yoon Byung-ho was arrested and charged with smoking cannabis and taking methamphetamine at his home in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, in July 2022.
During the trial, he denied the allegations, claiming that they "correspond to the so-called 'Pongdang case' that allows others to administer drugs without their knowledge." But the witnesses said they saw Yun Byung-ho inhaling drugs through his nose" "I saw someone ask for medication from another recipient," he stated.
Senior Judge Jeong Jae-wook ruled that "the quality of the crime is not good for taking drugs in the detention center while being tried for the same crime."
However, the reason for the sentencing was given to the crime of the judgment, the need to consider equity with the simultaneous judgment (of this case), and the fact that there was no history of being punished for the same crime at the time of the crime in this case.
