According to a report by the Hankook Ilbo on the 25th, Gong Gap-jun, Gong Hyung-jin's father, died on the same day. He was 89.
The mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the coffin will be borne at 6:30 a.m. on the 27th. The burial ground is Honorstone in Yongin Park.
Earlier on April 26, Gong Hyung-jin's mother, Hong Wan-ok, passed away first. He was 89. The deceased reportedly died of chronic illness and old age.
In particular, referring to his mother suffering from cerebral infarction at the time of the movie Hidden released in 2022, Gong Hyung-jin said, "It has been very difficult for the past two to three years due to the deterioration of my parents' health. Both of them are elderly, but in the case of my mother, she was unable to speak due to cerebral infarction and was paralyzed on one side. My father is like that too." I didn't know how to overcome it, but I'm working hard to overcome it"It made me cry, adding to my sadness.
Meanwhile, Gong Hyung-jin made his debut as an SBS 1st open talent in 1991 and built up filmography by going back and forth between movies and dramas.
