Producer Nam Kyu-hong, who directed the ENA-SBS Plus entertainment program 「I'm Solo」, did not attend the parliamentary audit, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Ministry of Culture) imposed a fine on the production company's chief entertainment.

According to the industry, an official of 'I am Solo' said on the 22nd that it is true that producer Nam Kyu-hong was not able to attend the parliamentary audit because he was on a business trip abroad. Producer Nam was scheduled to appear at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee on the 24th as a witness related to copyright infringement by broadcasting writers, but reportedly avoided the request for attendance.

In this regard, Rep. Kang Yoo-jung of the Democratic Party of Korea said in a parliamentary audit on the 18th that producer Nam Kyu-hong is ignoring all contacts of the National Assembly's stylistic committee to deliver the request for attendance", criticizing his non-compliance in his proceeding remarks. Afterwards, producer Nam submitted a letter of reason on the 20th and officially announced his absence.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a corrective recommendation and a fine for Nam Kyu-hong PD's production company, Chief Entertainment, for violating the Artist Welfare Act and the Artist Rights Protection Act. They decided that failing to sign a written contract with a freelance writer violates Article 4-4 of the Artist Welfare Act, and imposed a fine of 1.5 million won.

Producer Nam Kyu-hong recently caused controversy by revising the copyright-related provisions in the program's standard contract and including his daughter in the list of writers 'I'm Solo'.
