Actor Cha Seung-won proved his acting skills.

Since the release of the Netflix film 「Jeon, Lan" on the 11th, Cha Seung-won's transformation, who completely played the ancestors of"Angry Yu-na" who turn a blind eye to the crisis of the country and strive only to rebuild the throne, is drawing attention.

In the play, Cha Seung-won appeared as a ancestor with a dark face, a rough beard to the side of his face, and an intense visual that has never been seen before. Then with a frantic look "Along with the king or slave? Do kings and slaves really come together?" he said, drawing attention from the beginning of the story.

Cha Seung-won depicted three-dimensionally the dark and irresponsible aspect of a monarch who abandoned his people and fled during the Imjin War. He complained about side dishes during the evacuation, and when the people burned Gyeongbokgung Palace, he said, "My people? Why??", he/she properly provoked viewers' anger by asking a dull question or running away from the rebellion of the angry people, and at the same time, highlighted the character's infinitely weak side, bringing the character to life.

After seven years, he returned to the capital and focused on rebuilding Gyeongbokgung Palace, prioritizing the restoration of his authority over the safety of the country, envious of the enemy soldiers, and executed them as plotters, and played a central role throughout the play by weighting complex characters even with the king's words, which eventually became the object of ridicule to the people.

Cha Seung-won also conveyed a message about the role of a leader in a difficult time by symbolically depicting the horrors of historical dark-arm rule based on reality while crossing the difficult boundaries, where the king's dignity is alive and varied in each scene.

Earlier this month, at a press conference for the opening film of the Busan International Film Festival, Cha Seung-won said, `Many people had a lot of worries to discriminate because they played the role of ancestors.' Through in-depth research on the character, he added detailed settings to weight loss, rough beard makeup, eyebrow angle, and skin texture, and created Cha Seung-won's Seonjo based on his long acting experience by remarkably portraying the powerful lines thrown across the solidity and deviation of his voice in his mad eyes and frequent psychological changes suffered by the helpless king.

Through this work, Cha Seung-won is marking a new peak in his career, continuing his Nth heyday of his 27 years as an actor.

Meanwhile, Cha Seung-won will attend a special GV on the 23rd with director Park Chan-wook, actors Kang Dong-won and Jung Sung-il, who produced Jeon, Lan.
