MBC said on the 16th that it has appointed Kim Sung-joo, Korea's representative MC and national caster, as its exclusive sports caster.
On this day, MBC's presidential office held a ceremony to appoint an exclusive sportscaster and appointed Kim Sung-joo, who helped MBC achieve the overwhelming number one ratings at mega events such as the 2022 Qatar World Cup and 2024 Paris Olympics, as MBC's exclusive sportscaster.
In particular, Kim Sung-joo vividly delivered to viewers the moment of propaganda of South Korea's representative athletes in various sports such as archery, fencing, badminton, swimming, and golf at the 2024 Paris Olympics held in July this year, and contributed greatly to the headquarters achieving the No. 1 overall audience rating.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung-joo joined MBC as an open announcer in 2000 and served as a leading announcer. After declaring freelance in 2007, he was active in various broadcasts and returned to his home MBC in 2012 while broadcasting the London Olympics.
