Comedian Lee Jin-ho (38) confessed to illegal gambling on the Internet, and the police received a request for an investigation and launched a full-fledged investigation.

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said on the 15th that a civil petitioner received a case requesting an investigation into Lee Jin-ho's alleged habitual gambling and fraud through the National Newspaper. As a result, the police began an internal investigation before the charges were filed, and a formal investigation is expected to take place soon as Lee Jin-ho admitted to illegal gambling himself.

The person who filed the complaint posted an article on the online community 'DeciInside' and said that he had filed a complaint with the National Newspaper himself. He argued that `Lee Jin-ho's behavior as a celebrity greatly affects society' and"this case also needs a thorough investigation, as many celebrities and sports stars have been involved in illegal gambling in the past, causing great disappointment.' It also demanded strong punishment for those who operated illegal gambling houses.

Lee Jin-ho confessed on his SNS on the 14th that he started playing on an Internet illegal gambling site by chance in 2020. He later said he was taking on an unaffordable debt, paying off the money he borrowed from his acquaintances, and that he would faithfully work on the police investigation.

Lee Jin-ho made his debut as an SBS special comedy comedian in 2005 and continued his activities by appearing in public comedy programs such as 「"Looking for Laughs", "Hantansa", "Comedy Big League", and various entertainment shows such as "Knowing Brother".
