Hanni, a member of the group NewJeans, recently revealed her views on marriage, sparking attention.

On the 7th, Hanni made a surprising comment during a fan interaction on the paid communication platform "Phoning." When fans jokingly said, "Don't get married," she responded with, "Don't get married? I'll give you a big TMI (too much information)," and dropped a bombshell remark.

Hanni shared, "My parents got married when they were 24, so I always thought I’d get married at 24, too. You never know. Four years left," making fans anxious.

In response to fans’ shocked reactions, Hanni added, "Why is everyone taking this so seriously? It's not like I'm getting married tomorrow. Don’t think too deeply about it, you have plenty of time to prepare your mind."

Hanni, born in 2004, debuted with NewJeans in 2022. She celebrated her 20th birthday on the 6th of this month. Fans were taken aback by her early marriage comments, reacting with responses like, "Please stay a singer for a long time," "Marry a Bernese Mountain dog instead," and "It hurts to even hear about it."

Meanwhile, on the 11th, NewJeans members, including Hanni, made headlines during a YouTube Live broadcast, where they addressed the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee-jin from their agency, ADOR. During the live stream, they criticized HYBE, ADOR’s parent company, and Hanni revealed she had faced bullying within the company. She mentioned an incident where she greeted another team member at a makeup shop, only for the manager to tell the member to "ignore NewJeans." Hanni added, "I could hear everything. I don't understand why I have to endure this now; it's ridiculous."

In response, some NewJeans fans lodged a formal complaint, citing workplace bullying. Chairman Ahn commented in a phone call, "There have been several requests to call Kim Joo-young as a witness." Hanni was also called in as a reference and explained, "The aim is to investigate the truth behind the bullying allegations."

All eyes are on whether ADOR’s Kim Joo-young and NewJeans' Hanni will appear at a parliamentary hearing scheduled for the 25th.
