Below is a Q&A session with 2NE1:

Q: After about 10 years and 6 months, 2NE1 is holding a full concert. How do you feel?

CL: We reunited briefly for the Coachella stage, but since it's our 15th anniversary, we wanted to do something special. I suggested we plan this concert together, but I never thought it would go this far! (laughs) We always said we’d perform together again one day, and I’m so happy it’s finally happening.

Sandara Park: It feels like a dream, and I still can't believe it. Ten years is such a long time, and the memories of the past decade flash by like a movie. I don’t think it’ll feel real until I step on stage.

Park Bom: I've been waiting for this moment. It truly feels like a dream. Now, I just want to focus on preparing the best performance and can’t wait to meet our fans again.

Minzy: It feels surreal. I think the reality of it won’t sink in until I’m on stage. We’ve often dreamt of standing together again, and now that it’s actually happening, I’m so excited and looking forward to it.

Q: Fans were eagerly anticipating this reunion, and all three shows sold out quickly. Did you expect that?

CL: Initially, I felt bad that we couldn’t accommodate more fans. But the overwhelming response and love from everyone gave us so much energy. It’s been a long time, and there were many hurdles, but seeing the enthusiasm from the fans made it all worth it. Plus, the venue is where 2NE1 had our first concert, so it feels even more special to start here again.

Minzy: I’ve been looking at fan reactions all day. I’m usually not very emotional—my MBTI is ‘T’—but I cried (laughs). I’m so grateful for the fans who still love and support us.

Q: It’s been a long time since your last concert. Were there any differences in your approach to preparation this time?

Sandara Park: We’re working with many of the same dancers and staff we’ve collaborated with before, so the process feels familiar. This time, instead of reinventing ourselves, we wanted to focus on showcasing what 2NE1 is known for. And I think, having had time to grow, we’re even better now (laughs).

Minzy: Even though we’ve done this before, the members have matured, and we’re all different people now. The emotions feel deeper, and it’s refreshing to experience this together again. I’ve gained a lot of healing and insight through this process.

Q: With so many hit songs, how did you go about creating the setlist? Can you give us a little spoiler?

CL: The concept behind ‘Welcome Back’ is to bring the essence of classic 2NE1. In the past, we often changed choreography or rearranged songs during tours, but this time we wanted to deliver the original 2NE1 music in its purest form. We want fans to experience the essence of what 2NE1 has always been about.

Park Bom: I wanted to perform every song we have, but of course, that wasn’t possible (laughs). However, we’ve created a setlist that everyone will enjoy and connect with, so look forward to it!

Q: What do you hope to show through this performance?

CL: I want to showcase the kind of music 2NE1 has been known for. When we were active, we were constantly evolving, so our full essence wasn’t always apparent. But now, our music has matured and deepened. For those who knew us, I hope this performance brings back memories. For those unfamiliar with us, I hope they discover what kind of artists 2NE1 really are.

Q: How has it felt preparing for the concert?

CL: Every moment has been precious. After spending time apart and doing our own activities, coming back together has made these moments even more special. What used to feel routine now feels extraordinary, and we’re preparing with the intention of making lasting memories.

Sandara Park: It’s bittersweet. We've been practicing since July, and as the concert approaches, I know I’ll miss these moments in the practice room. In the past, these things felt natural, but now they feel special. I’m savoring every moment.

Q: What synergy do you feel being back with YG for this concert?

CL: It’s incredibly meaningful. This project came together in such a short time, but celebrating our 15th anniversary with the members and YG feels so special. The staff and everyone involved are so passionate, and I feel truly grateful to be surrounded by such dedication.

Sandara Park: It’s comforting to be back with YG. The 2NE1 members have been with YG for at least 15 years, so it feels like coming home. Everyone knows us so well, so everything has flowed smoothly.

Q: Is there a performance highlight fans shouldn’t miss?

Park Bom: I think fans will experience a wide range of emotions. Whether it’s joy or the excitement of singing and dancing along with us, I hope everyone enjoys the show and feels deeply connected to the performance.

Minzy: Fans have always loved 2NE1’s live shows, and this time will be no different. There are many moments where you can sing along with us, and I’m excited for fans to experience the iconic ‘fan chant’ moments again. You’ll really feel like this is 2NE1’s stage once more.

Q: If you could describe the 'Welcome Back' concert in one word, what would it be?

Minzy: ‘Let’s play!’ 2NE1’s music always makes me want to dance, and I hope the audience feels the same. The title of our first concert was ‘NOLZA,’ and it’s still the best way to describe our vibe.

CL: ‘Stamp the seal.’ This concert will reaffirm that 2NE1 is still here, strong and complete. Despite the long break, we’ve reunited and are embarking on a tour. I hope our comeback sets a positive example and creates new momentum in K-pop.

Q: How does it feel to celebrate the 15th anniversary of your debut, and what would you like to say to your fans who have waited for 2NE1’s return?

CL: While it’s technically our 15th anniversary, it still feels like our 6th year to me. We’ve waited a long time to meet again, and we’ll repay everyone’s patience with a performance that exceeds expectations.

Sandara Park: I can’t believe it’s already been 15 years. It’s also been 10 years since we last performed as a full group for our Black Jack fans. I’ve always felt sorry for making you wait so long, but this time, we’ll make it up to you. Be ready! (laughs)

Minzy: Thank you for your patience. I often wonder how you’ve managed to wait and love us for 15 years. It’s so precious. I debuted at a young age, and many of you have watched me grow. Now, I’ll show you my best after all this time!

Park Bom: We’ve waited for this day as much as you have. We’ll return with performances that meet your expectations, so stay with us. I know many fans are coming from overseas, and I can’t wait to show you a great show during the upcoming Asian tour.
