Hive CEO'Misappropriating inappropriate idol rating documents, apologizing to each agency-artist' (Full Story)

Hive apologized for the so-called 'Idol Review' document case.

Hive CEO Lee Jae-sang apologized on the 29th as Hive CEO regarding the Hive monitoring document. I would like to bow to artists, industry officials, and fans for our monitoring documents pointed out at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee on October 24" he said.

Then "This document was prepared during the post-mortem gathering of various responses and public opinion on industry trends and issues. It was shared only with some leadership for the purpose of understanding the public opinion of the market and artist fans, but the content of the document was extremely inappropriate. On behalf of the company, we acknowledge all wrongdoing and feel responsible for the provocative and primary expressions toward K-pop artists, the addition of the author's personal views and evaluations, and the fact that the contents remain documented. In particular, we are very sorry and sad about the situation in which innocent artists and members are misunderstood and damaged due to suspicions about reverse viruses that are not true at all."

We also respectfully and officially apologize to the outside artists who were mentioned in the document and caused damage and hurt. Each agency is contacted separately and apologizes directly. We also sincerely apologize to all the artists of Hive Music Group who are under fire for their company"I acknowledged that the lack of awareness of the problems of the leadership who shared the document was not recognized, and as CEO, I immediately stopped writing the monitoring document. We promise to establish a guide and strengthen internal control to prevent such problems from occurring again," he said.

CEO Lee Jae-sang said, `Once again, I would like to apologize to artists and industry insiders who have been hurt by this incident, fans, and all those who love and support K-pop. As the representative of the company, I would like to thoroughly improve the past wrongs and do my best for the sound development of the K-pop industry by prioritizing the rights and interests of all K-pop artists and respect for their fans," he promised.

Hive was at the center of the controversy after one of his internal documents, 'Weekly Music Industry Report', was leaked at the National Assembly on the 24th. It contained excessive reviews of idols, and SEVENTEEN member Boo Seungkwan, a member of Hive, complained himself.

Next is the full text of CEO Lee Jae-sang's position.

Regarding the Hive monitoring document, I would like to apologize as Hive CEO.

I bow to artists, industry officials, and fans for our monitoring documents pointed out at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee on October 24.

This document was prepared in the post-mortem gathering of various responses and public opinion to industry trends and issues. In particular, I am very sorry and miserable about the situation in which innocent artists and members are misunderstood and damaged due to suspicions about reverse viruses that are not true at all.

I respectfully and formally apologize to the outside artists who have been mentioned in the document and caused damage and hurt. Each agency is contacted separately and apologizes directly. We also sincerely apologize to all the artists of Hive Music Group, who are under fire for their company.

As CEO, we acknowledged that there was a lack of awareness of the problems of the leadership who shared the document, and immediately stopped writing the monitoring document. I promise to establish a guide and strengthen internal control to prevent such problems from occurring again.

Once again, I would like to apologize to artists and industry officials who were hurt by this, fans, and all those who love and support K-pop. As the representative of the company, I would like to thoroughly improve the past wrongs through stinging reflection, self-reflection, and to do my best for the sound development of the K-pop industry by prioritizing the rights and interests of all K-pop artists and respect for their fans.

Thank you.
