Producer Nam Gyu-hong was not disappointed. 'Statue of the inspection due to his overseas stay...'

Producer Nam Kyu-hong of 『I am Solo" who was suspected of being overpowered by a broadcast writer said he would not appear at the National Assembly due to overseas business trips, while he was selected as a witness by the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee.

According to a National Assembly official on the 22nd, producer Nam wrote in a letter of reason submitted on the 20th, "'We are preparing to launch a new regular program within this year.'" he said. Producer Nam's overseas business trip schedule is 12 days from the 16th to the 27th.

Earlier on the 10th, the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee adopted producer Nam, director and chief entertainment representative, as a witness for the comprehensive audit on the 24th at the request of Democratic Party member Kang Yoo-jung to inquire about the treatment of program producers.

However, producer Nam answered "currently filming in Jinan, Jeollabuk-do Province" and later reportedly lost contact, sparking suspicions about 'spreading". An official from SBS Plus·ENA"I'm SOLO" also said that they were checking because they could not contact producer Nam. However, the confirmation revealed that it was not a disappearance, and that it was an overseas business trip.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 18th that it imposed a fine of 1.5 million won and took action to correct the violation of the obligation to write a written contract against Chief Entertainment, represented by producer Nam, after deliberation and resolution by the Artist Rights Guarantee Committee.

The recommendations include signing a contract on an equal footing with the writers regarding the production of 'I Solo', issuing a written contract to the writers, and submitting measures to prevent recurrence, including implementation of the contract and the issuance of the contract.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism determined that Chief Entertainment's failure to write a written contract for cultural and artistic services with freelance writers constitutes a violation of the Artist Welfare Act. According to Article 4-4 of the Artist Welfare Act of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the rights of broadcasting artists could have been predicted more clearly and the reporters (authors) could have exercised them. "There are still parts that need to be corrected, such as signing a contract that does not specify the terms of the contract for artists' rights such as copyrights, so it is necessary to recommend correction."

Producers can give their opinions on prior notice of the imposition of fines by November 4, and they can be reduced by up to 20% if they voluntarily pay the fines within the opinion submission period.

Earlier, Nam PD put his daughter on the writer's list, causing controversy over the writer's self-debut, intercepting re-broadcasting fees for 'I'm Solo', and abusing the authority by talking to the writers.

In April, the Broadcasting Writers Branch of the Korean Press Workers' Union reported Chief Entertainment, represented by producer Nam Kyu-hong, to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for violating the written contract and violating rights. The Broadcasting Writer's Office pointed out that producer Nam violated the Artist Rights Guarantee Act by not writing a written contract with the writers of 『I am Solo" and proposing a contract to remove the copyright guarantee to the broadcasting writers who demand to write the contract, and demanded an apology and a solution.
