On the 13th, Wizards Productions of SM Entertainment, the agency, said, `Seung-han has expressed his intention to leave the team for the members and the fans," he said.
The agency added "We respect the artist's decision and tell you that Seung-han left the Rise instead of joining it."
In a handwritten letter posted to the fan community Weverse on the same day, Seung-han "I think it's the way for everyone that I'm going out of the team. I don't want to cause any more confusion and hurt to the fans, I don't want to cause any more damage to the members, and I don't want to cause any more damage to the company."
He then said "I want to say thank you to the company and its members for their efforts to give me a chance again, and I'm sorry and thank you to those who have supported me, even though I'm not good enough. It's so heartbreaking to see enough fans fighting each other because of me just loving Rise. I hope that my beloved Rise will be loved more in the future and I will sincerely support him."
Seung-han was a former SM Rookie and made his debut as Rise in September last year. Since then, a photo of Seung-han kissing a woman just before her debut last year has been leaked, sparking controversy over her privacy. Seung-han, who suspended his activities indefinitely, decided to return to the team after 10 months.
However, Rise fans strongly protested his return, sending a protesting wreath to SM's office building.
