Yang Jae-woong appeared on the 23rd as a witness to the National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee's parliamentary audit.

In May, a woman in her 30s, who was hospitalized to treat diet drug addiction, died in 17 days at a hospital in Bucheon, where Yang Jae-woong is the director. According to the released CCTV footage, A complained of abdominal pain, but hospital staff did not take appropriate measures, such as administering stabilizers and binding them to bed. Eventually, A died, and the bereaved family filed a criminal complaint against Yang Jae-woong and other medical staff for abandonment and filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. The police booked Yang Jae-woong and his employees on charges of violating the medical law.
