Jessi Investigated for Assault Allegations and Fan Incident

While singer Jessi is under police investigation for her involvement in a fan assault case, a victim who claims to have been directly assaulted by Jessi is now facing scrutiny.

The alleged victim, referred to as "A," appeared on JTBC's 'CRIME CHIEF' and stated that in 2013, she was assaulted by Jessi and her group at a club in Itaewon.

"A," a Korean-American who immigrated to the United States at the age of two and returned to Korea around 2010, claims that she was assaulted by Jessi and three friends in the club’s bathroom in May 2013 without provocation.

"I ran into Jessi in the bathroom and offered to let her go in first, but she started an argument and then attacked me for no reason. Jessi and her friends tried to beat me up and even attempted to put my face in the toilet. They took my bag and said they would only return it if I knelt down and apologized," A alleged.

At the time, Jessi defended herself by saying, "There was a fight between my friends and A, but I never hit her." Jessi was eventually cleared of all charges after A dropped the case and returned to the United States. A later admitted that Jessi did not participate in the assault.

However, A has since contradicted this, stating, "That’s not true at all. Jessi clearly hit me." She explained that she dropped the charges because she was preparing to return to the United States, and the legal process took about a year, making it difficult for her to leave the country while pursuing the case.

In light of the current controversy surrounding Jessi's alleged role in a fan assault, A added, "Jessi claims that the perpetrator wasn't in Korea at the time, but this is similar to what happened in the past." She also remarked, "(The perpetrator being Chinese) is laughable and absurd."

Jessi is currently under suspicion for ignoring an assault on a minor fan who had requested a photo in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 29th of last month. Although the fan was assaulted by Jessi's group, Jessi briefly stopped the assault but left the scene without intervening further. The fan later reported the incident to the police, who found Jessi and her group in a nearby bar. However, Jessi and her party allegedly pretended not to recognize the fan.

In response, Jessi has stated that the perpetrator of the assault was a Chinese acquaintance of her producer, who has since left for China. Jessi also mentioned that she had met the person for the first time on the day of the incident. Jessi attended an investigation at Gangnam Police Station on the 16th at around 10 p.m. as a defendant, saying, "I hope the person who assaulted you is found and punished. I'll tell the authorities everything I know."
