On the 14th, it was reported that Choi Min-hwan sold a detached house in Yulhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 3.8 billion won in August.
This house is a detached house that Choi Min-hwan purchased for 1.25 billion won in 2015 and has owned alone. Choi Min-hwan bought an old house and demolished it, built a multi-family house with one basement and one or two floors above the ground, and has lived with his family. Choi Min-hwan stayed in this house even after marrying Yul-hee in 2018, and after divorcing in December 2023.
When Choi Min-hwan purchased the house, the maximum bond value was set at 1.05 billion won. Considering that the maximum amount of bonds is usually set at 110-120% of the loan, it is estimated that he bought a house with a loan of KRW 800 million to 900 million. In other words, it is estimated that Choi Min-hwan made a market profit of about 2.5 billion won.
The problem was not that Choi Min-hwan made huge real estate market gains. Anyway, since the house was prepared by Choi Min-hwan before marriage, it is recognized as a unique property, making it difficult to be included in the property division. However, Choi Min-hwan's proposal for a divorce from Yul-hee is too small compared to his capital gains, which is causing criticism from a moral level.
Earlier, Yul-hee said "When the story of divorce first came out, I tried to take the children, but Choi Min-hwan talked about 50 million won in alimony and 2 million won in child support." I was so tired for a year when I had to file a lawsuit to take care of it. He once said, "I chose (my father) who has a large family that my children are satisfied with, a strong company in reality, and guaranteed future activities."
Choi Min-hwan and Yul-hee married in 2018 and had one son and two daughters, but divorced last year. Choi Min-hwan will have custody of the three children. However, Yul-hee revealed last month that Choi Min-hwan had sexually harassed her while she was married. Choi Min-hwan dropped out of KBS2 'Superman is Back' due to allegations of prostitution and suspended his FT Island activities. Since then, Yulhee has filed an application for mediation for the change of custody, alimony, and property division claims.
