Gu Ha-ra debuted as Kara in 2008 and was at the center of the Korean Wave with numerous hits such as 'Pretty Girl', 'Honey', 'Mr.', 'Mamma Mia' and 'Lupin'. In particular, 'Mr.' gained sensational popularity in Japan with his original waist dance choreography and made Kara's name known worldwide. Kara also set the K-pop group's first record by performing at Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Fans and members who miss Goo Hara still feel the same. The music video of Kara's album 'Move Again', which marked the 15th anniversary of her debut in 2023, created a feeling of emptiness in Gu Ha-ra. In July of the same year, an unreleased song containing Gu Ha-ra's voice was released. The song was supposed to be included in Kara's fourth studio album in 2013, but it didn't see the light of day. Gu Ha-ra's recorded voice was added during her lifetime, making it a special gift for fans with the first full song of the six Kara members.
His name also affected the revision of the law. The so-called `Save the Law' passed the National Assembly plenary session in August this year and became a law that restricts parents who do not fulfill their parenting obligations from inheriting inheritance upon the death of their children. At the time of Gu Ha-ra's accident, it was caused by a social controversy when her biological parents, who did not fulfill their parenting responsibilities, demanded compensation.
