Last year, Seung-hee challenged her first drama on KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Oasis', and this is her second drama, which added to the fun of the drama with her clumsy appearance, even though she is ticking and cheeky to Ko Min-yong at the beginning of the drama. As the second half progressed, Seung-hee played a major role in the play beyond the scene stealer, and through this work, she established a clear position as an actor.
Seung-hee once again expressed her feelings after the end of the drama 'Jeongnyeon 'Chorok ' which ended in the middle of the topic.
▶The following is Seung-hee's question and answer, who played the role of 'green'.
Q. First of all, please tell us how you feel about the end of the drama and say hello to the viewers who loved Jeongnyeon.
Seunghee: Hello, viewers who loved Jeongnyeon. I'm Seunghee of OH MY GIRL as Park Cho Rok. Thanks to your infinite affection for the Maeran Guk Theater Company, we were able to run happily to the last episode of 'Jeongnyeon'. Thank you so much.
Q. What was your biggest concern after playing the role of Green? Please let me know if there's anything you've focused on to express your character.
Seung-hee: Green wanted to express Young-soo as a child whose emotions are just transparent, not a one-sided jealous child. Green wanted to include in the hateful expression that he envies the genius of Young-soo and wants to resemble him. Ever since I first got my audition script, I've been immersed in the role of green, and I've been fascinated by the fact that my personality is transparent and I can't hide my expression, so I've tried to be green itself. Even to the point where I turn small things around me into green.
Q. In the early days of the drama, he was jealous of his retirement age, but he gradually became affectionate and showed a change. Please tell me if you have any particular concerns about this performance.
Seung-hee: I paid a lot of attention to her emotional line so that the viewers might think that she suddenly changed her attitude. I chose only hateful things, but I released my emotions by focusing on the part of conveying the true and desperate situation of Green to Gukgeuk without any suddenness.
Q. I went to the 8th audition with the retirement age, and the green color, such as sound and tear acting, stood out. I got a good response from the viewers, but I wonder what the reaction was like.
Seunghee: I've been contacted by many people since the 8th episode. I didn't know I was acting, but some people said they were very happy and surprised to see you at the retirement age, and many people liked me and praised me for doing well, so I was puzzled and wanted to do better in the future.
Q. The proportion of green has increased considerably toward the second half. Did you know this from the beginning? What did you think when you read the script?
Seung-Hee: I found out during the filming that my part gets bigger as I go back. After receiving the script for the 8th episode, I was so surprised that the weight increased, and on the other hand, I was excited to think that I could show a lot of Green's skills improvement and emotional lines. I really wanted to show you well, and I thought a lot about it and prepared hard, but fortunately, many people liked it, so I'm grateful.
Q. I'm the lead vocalist of Oh My Girl, but I think there must have been a burden of sound acting in Gukgeuk. Please tell me if there were any difficulties while preparing, and what specific parts you prepared, such as sound and dance.
Seung-hee: I wasn't unfamiliar with folk songs when I was young, but I already did K-pop and my vocalization itself was very different from Pansori, so I focused on pressing down the sound heavy. And while learning Korean dance, I learned the body shape, the shape of each hand holding the skirt, and walking smoothly so that there is no sound when walking.
Q. There were many scenes with Kim Tae-ri as Yoon Jeong-nyeon. Please tell me how you felt while acting and how your chemistry with other actors was.
Seunghee: Kim Tae-ri really led and helped me a lot. I had a desire to return the energy I received from my seniors in the same way, and as the synergy increased, I felt immersed as if only you and I were under the lighting on the spot. After that, I realized that this was true breathing. In addition, with the actors who played Bok-sil and Yeon-hong, who work together as the three musketeers, we actually played a lot of jokes on the scene, took pictures like high school girls, and took pictures in a friendly manner.
Q. What was the most memorable scene?
Seung-hee: There are a lot of memorable scenes, and the scene where I fell while holding a broom was fun to film, and the scene where I first went to Young-soo and said that the fish smelled rotten and changed my attitude, I liked it because I could see how transparent the green is and it clearly shows the change of heart.
Q. Who is the actor who gave you the most advice and strength while filming?
Seung-hee: The actor who gave me the most advice while filming is definitely Kim Tae-ri. My senior once wrote down how he interpreted and approached the drama on paper and explained it, and I was shocked that he was thinking through the parts that I never thought of. Since then, my perspective on drama interpretation has expanded a lot.
Q. OH MY GIRL members can't be left out. Please watch this work and tell me how the members reacted.
Seung-Hee: These days, I'm bragging about the members. So I'm really happy and I want to continue to be proud of the members. Everyone has a busy day with their personal schedules, but they are constantly giving praise and support for their acting.
Q. What genres and characters would you like to play in the future?
Seung-hee: From now on, I want to take out various selves within me regardless of which genre or character and project them into various characters, and I want to greet you through many works for a long time.
Q. Please tell me your goals and plans for the future of actor Seunghee.
Seunghee: I will work hard to become an actor who will be with you throughout your life. We will work hard to meet you in other works in the future, so please keep an eye on us!
