NCT Doyoung’s positive influence is truly remarkable.

According to Sports Chosun, Doyoung recently donated 100 million won to UNICEF. The donation will support vulnerable children and disadvantaged communities around the world.

Doyoung's generous donation appears to be a way of giving back to his fans for their support. After the successful release of his first solo album, Youth’s Formal, earlier this year, Doyoung recently wrapped up his first solo Asian tour with a memorable encore concert.

Additionally, on UN World Children’s Day (November 20), Doyoung took action to help children in need. In preparation for the warm Christmas season and the end of the year, Doyoung rolled up his sleeves to make a difference.

His gesture is even more meaningful as it coincides with the release of his new song, “Shining,” which was released on the 6th. The track conveys a message of support to young people who are facing challenges. Just as Doyoung offers words of comfort through his music, he spreads goodwill through his actual donations.

Doyoung is well-known for his ongoing charitable efforts and has earned the title of "K-pop Idol Representative Donation Angel." He is particularly admired for his careful approach in identifying areas of need and directing his donations to the most appropriate causes.

In 2022, he donated 30 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to assist with recovery efforts from forest fires in Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province, and Samcheok, Gangwon Province. In February of the following year, he donated 100 million won to the Love Fruit Community Chest to support earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

Ahead of Christmas last year, Doyoung became a special Santa for children by donating 50 million won to the Community Chest of Korea. On February 1st, he also contributed 30 million won to a donation platform to support essential goods for low-income families.

This latest 100 million-won donation to UNICEF, aimed at supporting vulnerable children, further underscores his commitment to giving back. Over the past two years, Doyoung has donated a total of 310 million won. Due to his consistent charitable work, he was named a member of the Honor Society 3112, a group for high-value donors, last year.

Meanwhile, Doyoung will release his new song “Brilliant” today at 6 p.m. through various music platforms.
