NewJeans held an emergency press conference at 8:30 p.m. on the 28th at somewhere in Gangnam, Seoul, and said "I will leave the door as of midnight on the 29th."
Since Min Hee-jin, former CEO of Adore, who is called 'NewJeans Mom', resigned from the position of Ador's executive director on October 30, NewJeans sent a proof of content on the 13th demanding the return of former CEO Min to Adore under his real name, measures to inappropriately mention NewJeans in Hive's internal documents, and an apology for another label manager in Hive telling NewJeans member Hani to 'Ignore you'.
At the same time, if these requirements are not corrected within two weeks, the sea declared that it would terminate the exclusive contract. The deadline for answering the content certification is 28 days, and members of NewJeans expressed their position on this.
Hani says "The reason for leaving Theodore is very simple. I think there are some people who understand the situation. NewJeans is an artist belonging to Adore, and Adore is obligated to protect NewJeans. It is the most basic duty of a company. Ador has neither the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans. So we have mental pain. Above all, there is nothing to gain, so I don't think there is any reason for the five members to remain."
Minji said "I would like to inform you that the exclusive contract between NewJeans and Adore will be terminated from midnight on the 29th. As if Hive is playing with words, Adore says 'Hive is wrong, not Ador's fault. However, Adore and Hive are already the same as one body. Adore, who has been working with us, has changed. All the existing directors were also dismissed. Now, the hive and adore have been distinguished, and it has changed to the taste of the hive. The trust relationship with the director, who has worked hard, has also been broken."
Then "We made a request for correction for the violation of the exclusive contract, and the deadline is over at midnight on the 29th. It was the answer of the reluctant position and the continuous show-off. None of the requirements were made. Even though we have delivered our opinions several times, the insincere attitude is exhausting. I felt again that there was no sincerity about us at all. It's past business hours, less than four hours until midnight, and I don't think it's going to change, so I'm going to terminate my exclusive contract with Ador," he stressed.
