Rosé and Bruno Mars' Duet 'APT.' Shatters Records with 300 Million Views

The music video for Rosé's pre-release single 'APT.'  has exceeded 300 million views.

The Black Label announced on the 9th that Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet song 'APT.' reached 300 million views on YouTube, setting a new record as the shortest time for a K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone in 11 years, just six hours after its release on October 18.

'APT.' is a pre-release single leading up to Rosé's official comeback on December 6 and will be featured in her first full album, rosie. This album includes a total of 12 tracks, among them the title song and 'APT.' Rosé has participated in writing and composing all songs on the album, offering her own honest and intimate stories.

The 'APT.' music video, featuring Rosé and Bruno Mars, quickly gained traction, reaching 100 million views in five days and 200 million in 11 days. It has also consistently ranked as Korea’s most popular video and music on YouTube and became a top trend in the U.S., highlighting its global appeal.

'APT.' has sparked a global phenomenon, reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. chart shortly after release, topping iTunes charts in 40 regions, and becoming the top song on China’s QQ Music, showcasing its popularity across the Americas and Asia.

Rosé continues to achieve career highs with 'APT.' As the first K-pop female solo artist to reach No. 1 on both Spotify’s U.S. and global charts, she hit 100 million streams in just seven days, setting a new record for the shortest time for a K-pop female solo artist. The single also entered the U.K. Official Singles Chart’s Top 100 at No. 4 and later climbed to No. 2, marking the highest rank for a K-pop female artist.

Additionally, 'APT.' debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 29 (local time), marking the highest debut for a K-pop female artist and the first single to debut in the top 10. The track has also maintained its top position on the Billboard Global 200 charts (including and excluding the U.S.) for three consecutive weeks. Notably, it achieved the second-highest streaming numbers ever recorded on the Global 200 (including the U.S.) chart.

Meanwhile, Rosé shared that 'APT.' was inspired by the popular "apartment game" in Korea. She explained, "The 'Apartment Game' is one of my favorite games—it’s simple, fun, and a great way to lift the mood. One night, I taught the game to the studio staff, and Bruno Mars joined in; that’s how the song came together."
