On the 8th (local time), the LA City Council invited Joshua, a member of Seventeen, to LA City Hall to present the plaque of appreciation. This award is given to organizations and individuals who have contributed to the arts, culture, and community. The LA City Council praised Seventeen for promoting the city through their performances and the "The City" projects.
Joshua said, "I'm so grateful and honored to receive this plaque on behalf of the team. I'm happy to promote Seventeen in LA. I'm also proud to be able to showcase our beloved CARAT (fandom name) all over the city. I hope Seventeen and LA can shine together through our performance and 'Seventeen the City LA.'" His words drew applause from the audience.
He also added, "Seventeen and LA are similar in that both have endless possibilities based on diversity. LA has stood tall as the central hub of the global entertainment industry, fueled by the vitality of people from diverse backgrounds. Seventeen, too, has 13 different members who come together to create our own dynamism and creativity."
Several LA City Council members, including Chairman Marquece Harris-Dawson, Katy Yaroslavsky, John S. Lee, Traci Park, and Tim McOsker, attended the event and listened to Joshua's speech. Hundreds of fans gathered around LA City Hall to cheer for him.
Rep. Katy Yaroslavsky described Seventeen as a "phenomenal K-pop group that has conquered the entire world. They have built a cultural bridge connecting fans from all over the world, beyond showcasing great music." She continued, "Seventeen has delivered a resonant message about positivity and harmony. They have inspired millions, and their influence is still growing." Yaroslavsky also noted, "Seventeen is UNESCO's first youth goodwill ambassador, spreading diversity and inclusion, and making a difference in people's lives."

"Seventeen The City LA" will continue until the 11th. The fandom name of Seventeen and CARAT will be engraved on the Ferris wheel at Santa Monica Pier, a popular spot in the city. Other events include a fan party at a famous hotel in LA, a pop-up store featuring exclusive merchandise, and an F&B collaboration.
Seventeen will hold their "Seventeen World Tour in US" at BMO Stadium in LA from the 9th to the 10th. This will mark their first-ever U.S. stadium performance since their debut and will close their North American tour, which began last month. Tickets sold out quickly when they went on sale, demonstrating Seventeen’s high local popularity.
