Song Jae-lim Found Deceased at Seoul Residence; Police Confirm Suicide

Actor Song Jae-lim has passed away at the age of 39.

He was found deceased at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at 12:30 p.m. on the 12th. Police reported that no foul play, such as homicide, was suspected. A two-page suicide note was discovered at the scene.

Song Jae-lim's social media account, which sadly captured his final days, included photos showing his affection for musicals and his life with his cat, adding to fans' shock and sadness. In particular, he left a brief message on his profile that seemed to hint at the end, which has left many deeply saddened. Song Jae-rim made his debut in the 2009 film 'Actresses' and gained recognition in 2011 when he was featured as a lead model for top Japanese magazines like Men's Nonno, Men's Joker, POPEYE, and Street Jack. He continued to build his career through various dramas, including 'Moon Embracing the Sun', 'Our Gapsonni', 'Secret Mother', 'Clean With Passion For Now!!','Let Me Hear Your Song','Yaksha: Ruthless Operations', and 'Bait.'



From 2014 to 2015, Song appeared on MBC's popular variety show 'We Got Married,' where he formed a virtual couple with Kim So-eun and gained significant popularity. Recently, he met audiences through the TVING drama 'Queen Woo' and the musical 'Rose of Versailles', which ran from July to October. His final works, 'Queen Woo' and 'Rose of Versailles', have left his colleagues mourning his loss.

Meanwhile, his funeral has been set up at the funeral hall of Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital, with the burial scheduled for noon on the 14th at Seoul Seunghwawon.
