Recently, it was revealed that Lai Kuan-lin attended an exchange event for Taiwan's presidential office. Lai Kuan-lin participated in the program as a representative of Taiwan's cultural community and drew attention after he was seen sitting between Taiwan's political affairs director, Song Tao, and politicians.
Lai Kuan-lin debuted as a group Wanna One in 2017, finishing seventh in the final of Mnet 'Produce 101 Season 2'. Afterwards, he returned to his original agency, Cube Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Cube), but in 2019, he sent a proof of content claiming the termination of the exclusive contract. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by Lai Kuan-lin to confirm the absence of the exclusive contract. In response, Lai Kuan-lin began his solo career in the Chinese-speaking world, but during the Hong Kong pro-democracy movement in 2019, he posted in support of the Hong Kong police and participated in a Chinese National Day event even though he was from Taiwan.
Later, Lai Kuanlin became a film director in 2021 when he released a short film 'Winter-Summer Fight', but in June he also entrusted the management of his official account to the staff, saying 'I changed my career path after a lot of consideration'.
