After emergency martial law 'Seoul's Spring' IPTV viewers surged by 1000%'Inverse Driving'

Immediately after the 'December 3' emergency martial law incident', the number of IPTV viewers for the movie 'Seoul Spring' surged by more than 1,000%.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated online theater network on the 11th, 'Seoul Spring' recorded a total of 1,150 views on IPTVs such as SK Btv, LG U+ TV, and Genie TV in the past 4 days. This is an increase of 1085% compared to the 3rd, when 97 cases were recorded.

In addition, the daily box office ranking also jumped from 23rd on the 3rd to 3rd the next day. Since then, 'Seoul Spring' has been steadily increasing the number of viewers.

It is unusual for 'Seoul Spring', which has been released for more than a year, to re-enter the top, and this 'reverse driving' is believed to be related to President Yoon Suk Yeol's emergency martial law situation.

After the incident, many postings reminding of 'Seoul Spring' are drawing attention, and various parody posters and memes are drawing attention. Accordingly, it is reported that the re-release of theaters and requests for TV broadcasts are continuing.

On the other hand, director Kim Sung-soo's "Spring of Seoul" is a work about nine hours of suffocating security commander Chun Doo-kwang (Hwang Jung-min) who revolted to seize power and water security commander Lee Tae-shin (Jung Woo-sung) who tried to stop him. When it was released in November last year, it attracted the final 13 million viewers.
