I won the prize on the 5th because I was selected as the winner of the 30th KAIST Literature Award with my essay `My Neighborhood, which was not poor.' I was going to tell you the good news on the day, but I'm only saying hello now because the most important thing of the country is the important thing."
Then "I remember the brilliant moments when I grew up in a small village in Incheon as a child and spent more than a decade living like a family and sharing love with the village community. So even now, in my 40s, I have not forgotten the love of my neighbor, who was like a family at the time, and I have completed an essay that says I will not live my life in poverty" he explained.

The work that gave Gu the KAIST Literature Award is an essay about his childhood, growing up in a small village community in Incheon, making love with neighbors and learning as a family. Earlier, Gu Hye-sun, who appeared on KBS 2TV entertainment show Park Won-sook's "Let's Live Together Season 3," revealed her past of being close to her neighbors as a child, approaching not only Park Won-sook and Hye-eun but also Yeongdeok residents without hesitation and showing a full level of friendliness. The essay draws attention as it contains the story of such a warm childhood of Koo Hye-sun.
After winning the award, Koo Hye-sun completed the article for a long time through her agency, NSENM "The professor advised me that it would be good to refine it and publish an essay."," he said, expressing his feelings about winning the award.
