Financial News reported on the 23rd that Yang Jae-woong purchased a building ranging from 1st basement floor to 5th basement floor in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in July 2022 under the name of Brother World Co., Ltd., which he represents.

The building, which was completed in 1992, has a land area of 348㎡ and a total floor area of 988.79㎡, and was reportedly purchased for about 10 billion won. An industry official believed that Yang Jae-woong would have purchased the building for reconstruction investment, not for a shopping mall rental business.

Earlier on May 27, a woman in her 30s died at a psychiatric hospital run by Yang Jae-woong, causing a stir. He died of pseudo intestinal obstruction after being hospitalized to treat diet drug addiction. According to the released CCTV, A complained of abdominal pain and asked the hospital for help, but nursing assistants tied A's hands and feet to the bed and gave him stabilizers. Since then, A has died unconscious. The bereaved family claimed that the hospital left A dead and filed a complaint with the police against hospital officials on charges of abandonment and professional negligence.

Yang Jae-woong wrote in his agency Mystic Story "First of all, regarding the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process, he and the former medical staff cannot hide their terrible feelings, and we sincerely apologize to the bereaved families who are grieving after losing the deceased and their families."I apologized, but I couldn't avoid criticism. It was belatedly revealed that Yang Jae-woong announced his marriage to Hani a few days after A's death. He also appeared on entertainment shows and told behind-the-scenes stories of marriage.

Yang Jae-woong also stopped his activities by getting off MBC Radio FM4U 'Kim In-na's Starry Night', and all activities were suspended even in the aftermath of Yang Jae-woong's controversy. The two were originally scheduled to get married in September, but they also postponed their marriage.
